Tasks, Competencies and Responsibility

• Development of concepts and solutions for exhaust aftertreatment systems and their components for various projects in cooperation with the other teams in the department
• Planning, coordination and preparation of the validation of components or the entire exhaust aftertreatment system on the component test bench, full engine test bench or through simulation
• Independent execution and/ or support of tests for the validation of components or the entire exhaust aftertreatment system
• Evaluation and documentation of test results using the Design Verification Plan method
• Preparation of results for presentations and independent derivation of measures
• Continuous optimization of test standards and processes using the Design Verification Plan method
• Coordination of the setup and commissioning of exhaust aftertreatment systems on the test benches
• Development/ definition, description and validation of software functions for the control and monitoring of exhaust aftertreatment systems
• Application of functions for the control and monitoring of exhaust aftertreatment systems and their components in the projects
• Evaluation and monitoring of field data of the exhaust aftertreatment systems and definition of remedial measures
• Participation in projects for the development of exhaust aftertreatment systems and components in series as well as for individual applications to meet the globally increasing emission requirements

Technical Requirements

• Successfully completed technical studies (Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering) or a comparable field of study
• Knowledge and experience in the field of internal combustion engines, exhaust aftertreatment, testing, functional development
• Very good analytical skills and goal-oriented, structured way of working
• Strong ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex, technical subject areas
• Experience with tools such as Uniplot, ETAS INCA, AVL CRETA as well as Matlab (Simulink) is an advantage
• Teamwork skills and independent, proactive way of working ("hands-on mentality")
• Very good English skills in speaking and writing
