QUANTITY SURVEYOR

We are hiring Quantity Surveyor (Property Development) !

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Evaluates bid cost is within our profitability and should be competitive
• Works with Project Manager to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.
• Finds ways to minimize the cost of the project and enhance the value for money, while still achieving the required standard and quality.
• Monitors and raises the red flag to the respective Project Manager/In-Charge when the project cost is either nearly or has reached the target cost for actual materials purchased.
• Advises technical support on procurement strategy and on contractual claims.
• Identifies, analyzes and develops responses to commercial risks.
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including Bills of Quantities with the Architect and/ or the Client.
• Must negotiate so that the cost of the project will not exceed the budget.
• Analyzes outcomes and makes written detailed progress reports.
• Assesses completed work and arranges payments.
• Maintains awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
• Understands the implications of health and safety regulations.
• Ensures company policies & operation procedures are strictly implemented.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Fresh graduates are welcome; 1-3 years QS experience is an advantage
• Knowledge of quantity takeoff and cost estimation
• Proficient in MS Excel
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Detail-oriented and willing to conduct site visits
