Mobile Mechanic (M/F)

Following a retirement, our client is recruiting a Mobile Mechanic (M/F) on a permanent contract (CDI).

Your mission

As part of a team of seven employees and under the responsibility of the assembly manager, you will ensure the assembly of special machines, at the Nantes site and also at client sites located internationally.

Your main missions will be:

• Perform the assembly of equipment (parts, sub-assemblies, assemblies);
• Ensure the mechanical maintenance of the machines;

• Perform the handling of heavy parts, using the tools available (overhead crane, forklift...) ;
• Assemble and perform the mechanical adjustment of the machines;

• Adjust mechanical parts if necessary;
• Read and interpret plans and assembly sequences;

• Perform various dimensional checks (example: micrometer...) ;
• Prepare specific tooling before shipment;

• Perform the control of special machines;
• Propose technical solutions and report technical facts;

• Write reports for your missions.

You will be in contact with the design office, the customer service on-site, but also with clients and their teams during your travels. Upon your arrival, an immersion period in a pair with a Fitter from the team will allow you to be trained on the machines and processes.

• Frequent travel abroad and in France;
• Short-term travel (a few days; unanticipated);

• Long-term travel (6 to 8 weeks; anticipated);

Your profile:

You hold a BAC PRO/or BTS in Industrial Maintenance (MSP Maintenance of production systems), and have 3 years of experience, preferably in the special machines sector (or equivalent sector).

You have a good analytical mind. We are looking for a motivated, dynamic person with good interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with teams at the Nantes site and at client sites. The position involves working in a team, but also autonomously during certain trips. You hold CACES for Overhead crane (R484 Category 1) and forklift (R489 category 3), or are open to taking them during your internal training period.

You have technical knowledge in mechanics and complex slinging. Proficiency in spoken and read technical English is indispensable for this position, given the context of travel to client sites.
