Dog groomer / pet groomer wanted (part-time) – Amager

We are looking for a skilled dog groomer for our team in Amager. Is it you?

As a pet groomer, you are responsible for all tasks regarding grooming and trimming, so that the pets are clean, well-groomed, and look their best. This means bathing animals of all sizes and with different temperaments, clipping, trimming, and shaving fur, as well as removing mats. You also ensure that tools and equipment are in good condition.

You are good at following the owner's wishes and meeting special needs. Most importantly, you treat all animals with care and patience.

⏰ Hours: Part-time (10–15 hours per week)

Start: End of September / beginning of October

Location: Amager

Salary: According to experience and qualifications

If you already work in another salon, that is perfectly fine. We will just arrange it in writing before you start.

✅ Your tasks

• Detangle the fur and remove mats.
• Bathe, condition, and dry the animals.

• Clip nails, brush teeth, and clean ears.
• Clip and style according to the owner's wishes or according to standard clips.

• Perform professional hand-stripping on wire-haired breeds, so the fur's structure and color are preserved.
• Meet special requests from the owners.

• Detect signs of illness, e.g., ear infection, skin problems, or bad teeth, and inform the owner.
• Ensure that all animals are comfortable and safe throughout the process.

• Keep the work area clean and tidy.
• Recommend relevant products to the owners.

⭐️ About you

• Educated from a dog grooming school, or equivalent documented experience.
• At least 2 years of professional experience with trimming and grooming.

• Good understanding of animal behavior.
• You can stand up for long periods at a time.

• You treat all animals with care.
• You can lift heavy animals and heavy equipment.

• You communicate well and have good customer understanding.
• Danish or English. Danish is an advantage, as many of our customers are Danish-speaking.
