Education:
Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
Work site environment:
Noisy.
Tasks:
- Visually inspect products for quality.
- Cut glass along marked outlines or around pattern using hand tools.
- Examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut.
- Operate process control machinery to cut glass or assemble glass window units.
- Place pattern on or under glass for cutting.
- Place sheet of glass on padded table or in jig and measure and mark glass.
- Smooth rough edges using belt sander or smoothing wheels.
Work conditions and physical capabilities:
- Handling heavy loads.
- Manual dexterity.
- Hand-eye co-ordination.
Own tools/equipment:
- Safety equipment/gear.
- Safety glasses/goggles.
- Gloves.
- Steel-toed safety boots.
- Hard hat.
- Ear plugs.
Experience:
2 years to less than 3 years.
