We are looking for a product designer to join our team for a maternity leave replacement!

Are you a creative and commercially minded product designer who is excited about ideating new products and taking them from concept to a finished product? Do you understand the importance of materials, production, printing techniques, and commerciality in addition to good design?

We are looking for a product designer for a maternity leave replacement to be responsible for the design and product development of the Muurla brand and licensed products. In this role, you will get to work extensively across the entire product development process – from ideation and design to production, procurement, and quality assurance of finished products.

Your main areas of responsibility are product design, product development, and assisting with procurement-related tasks. Essential skills for the position are proficient command of Adobe software and good English language skills.

Your working day could include, for example:

  • ideating, designing, and developing new products
  • designing products and visual design
  • ordering samples and coordinating them
  • tasks related to product procurement
  • collaboration with factories, suppliers, and other partners
  • getting products approved by the licensee
  • quality checks of finished products
  • coordinating several simultaneous product development projects.

What do we offer?

We offer you the opportunity to work with well-known and beloved brands and to see your own handiwork in products that end up in consumers' homes in Finland and internationally.

In this position, you will get to work diversely across the entire product development chain and collaborate with design, procurement, production, sales, and international partners.

The role is particularly suitable for you if you have a proactive work approach and if you want a position where design does not remain in the sketching phase, but you get to take your own ideas all the way to finished commercial products.
