About us: Muslimin Trust Fund Association (MTFA) is a rapidly growing nonprofit organisation dedicated to serving the underprivilege community in Singapore. Established with the aim of providing financial assistance and support to those in need, MTFA focuses on various areas such as education, healthcare, welfare, and social services. As our organisation continues to expand, we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. Role Overview: As a Religious Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our residents by engaging them in holistic and meaningful activities. Your primary focus will be fostering their religious, emotional, and personal development while ensuring their safety and well-being. You'll collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure a structured and nurturing environment. Location: Darul Ihsan Girls' Orphanage (23 Wan Tho Avenue) Responsibilities: Resident Engagement : Engage in holistic, meaningful activities and programmes. Serve as a positive role model, providing guidance and supervision. Collaboration with Welfare Officers : Ensure structure, boundaries, and routines within the Homes. Assist residents in daily religious practices. Point of Contact : Be the primary contact for residents regarding religious concerns or issues. Safety & Welfare : Prioritise and promote the well-being, safety, and overall development of all residents. Partnership with Home Managers : Address concerns related to the residents' holistic development. Uphold Care Standards : Incorporate the principles of the Standards of Care for Children and Young Persons in daily management and supervision. Nurturing : Encourage residents to develop confidence, self-esteem, and vital life skills through varied growth opportunities. Partnerships : Collaborate with mosques and other IECPs to enhance the religious knowledge of residents. Candidate’s Requirements: A minimum diploma/degree in Islamic studies ARS certified Relevant certificates and experience in handling children in institution or home for children would be an advantage Possess the passion in teaching and guiding youth in religious matters Possess a responsible and caring attitude 5-day work week
