Strategic Communications Executive
About the role The Strategic Comms Executive will plan and deliver communications that build Jamiyah Singapore's reputation, deepen stakeholder trust and advance the work of its Business Units. Reporting to the Head, Strategic Communications, the role works closely with Business Unit heads to turn organisational priorities into clear messages, integrated campaigns and compelling content, across owned, earned and partner channels. The aim is greater awareness and credibility, stronger relationships with the community, donors and partners, and support for programme and revenue growth. Key responsibilities Develop and implement integrated communications plans and campaigns for each Business Unit, aligned with Jamiyah's mission, brand and strategic priorities.
Partner with Business Unit heads to understand their goals, target audiences and funding or revenue needs, and translate these into key messages, channel plans and timelines.
Conduct audience research, media and sentiment monitoring, and benchmarking against peer organisations to guide communications decisions.
Write, edit and produce high-quality content, including press releases, articles, newsletters, web copy, social media posts, EDMs and annual report material.
Manage the content calendar and day-to-day publishing across digital channels (social media, website, EDMs) and oversee print and event collateral.
Support media relations by drafting media releases and statements, responding to media enquiries, and building relationships with journalists and media outlets.
Develop communications for corporate, donor and community partners, including sponsorship collateral, proposals, pitch materials and impact stories.
Plan and coordinate communications for events, programmes and fundraising drives, before, during and after delivery.
Keep messaging, tone and visual identity consistent across all Business Units, in line with Jamiyah's brand guidelines.
Support issues and crisis communications in coordination with management, including holding statements, Q&As and escalation, with appropriate cultural, religious and community sensitivity.
About you Degree in Business Development, Communications, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
1-3 years of relevant experience in corporate or strategic communications, public relations, content or marketing communications; fresh graduates with strong internships may be considered.
Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills in English; the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
Sound knowledge of strategic communications, messaging, media relations, stakeholder engagement and brand management.
Experience in communications planning, campaign management and performance measurement.
Proficiency in digital tools (social media management, Google Analytics, EDM platforms, CMS).
Good project management, organisational and budgeting skills.
Able to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Articulate, creative, analytical and results-oriented, with sound judgement and attention to detail.
Collaborative, with the ability to work across different Business Units, and discreet in handling sensitive information.
