Shift Supervisor
About the company
We are looking for a Shift Supervisor for a permanent position at our Laitila location in an egg packing plant.
Your tasks
Are you looking for the next step in your career within food production?
We offer a versatile role where you will work as part of the production team as a line worker and, when necessary, act as a deputy Shift Supervisor.
You will play an important role in achieving production targets and ensure, on your part, that operations proceed safely, efficiently, and with high quality.
Mainly, you will work in production line tasks involving manufacturing and packaging.
Your duties include
- Product manufacturing and packaging tasks on production lines
- Ensuring production flow as well as quality and safety requirements within your area of responsibility
- Use and monitoring of production equipment
- Making production entries into systems
- Cooperation with other departments and production teams
- Acting as a deputy Shift Supervisor
- Coordinating shift production and daily work distribution
- Guiding and supporting employees
- Reacting to production disturbances and problem-solving
- Ensuring the sufficiency of resources in cooperation with the supervisor
Requirements
We are looking for a person who
- is not intimidated by an occasionally hectic work environment and is able to make decisions even in a hurry
- possesses good cooperation and organizational skills and gets along with different types of people
- communicates fluently in English
- is responsible and proactive, and
- wants to learn new things and develop working methods.
We value it if you have
- Experience in production work or the food industry
- Experience in guiding employees or team leadership responsibility
- Knowledge of production processes or packaging machines
- Previous experience in supervisory tasks, but it is not essential
