What you'll be doing:

As a Sustainability and HSE placement student at Müller, you will play an important role in identifying and implementing improvements to services provided by the Group Health, Safety, Environment and Sustainability (GHSES) function. This position will help you develop innovation and analytical skills, while making a real impact across the business.

You will assist in developing, implementing, and supporting the Group Sustainability function pronominally and assisting the Group HSE plan in aligning with Müller’s strategic goals. By promoting a positive culture, you will help guide the business with its strategic sustainability agenda and legal compliance while contributing to the delivery of best-in-class solutions using our business systems.

Key tasks & responsibilities include:

• Research & Analysis: Assist the sustainability team by conducting research, performing data analysis, and generating insights to help deliver on key sustainability projects
• Data Reporting: Produce key statistics, data views and reports within specified timelines to support ongoing sustainability efforts
• Compliance & Reporting: Contribute to the compliance of annual sustainability reports and compliance requirements, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Dashboard Development: Work with the team to design and maintain effective, visually engaging dashboards and internal communication tools that reflect up-to-date progress
• Retailer & Competitor Insights: Support the sustainability team in tracking and mapping retailer sustainability targets and monitoring competitor progress
• KPI Reporting: Collate, monitor, review, and model sustainability data for monthly KPI reports, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the reporting process.
• Data Manipulation: Build skills in handling and manipulating large data sets to extract actionable insights
• Communication Skills: Develop the ability to translate complex data into clear, simple formats for sharing with the wider business
• Group Projects: Work with other placement students on a group project that aligns with Müller sustainability goals.
• Sustainability and HSE Systems Support: Help manage our UK/UTM-wide HSE software systems, supporting colleagues and streamlining processes across the business.
• Innovation & Problem-solving: Bring fresh ideas and creative thinking to help us improve how we work and keep people safe.
• Professional Development: Gain accredited Safety and Environmental qualifications during the programme, giving you a strong foundation for a future in health, safety, and sustainability.

What we’re looking for:

Müller are looking for confident students with enthusiasm, drive and IT awareness for this 13-month placement. If you’re on track to achieve a 2:1 or above and looking for a placement year full of learning, collaboration, and impact — we’d love to hear from you.
