Vice President, Financial Crime Compliance Technology (Transaction Filtering, Name Screening & KYC) (Job ID:10079885)
What you'll do: This role will be required to support the FCOA Technology team with functional and technical tasks in project management, incident management and BAU maintenance activities of Financial Crime Compliance systems. Provide comprehensive technology governance, oversight, and advisory support for Know Your Customer (KYC), Name Screening, and Transaction Filtering systems across multiple APAC branches, ensuring all projects, enhancements, issues, and queries are managed effectively.
Produce, review, and interpret detailed technology-related documentation including functional and technical design documents, business requirement documents, and system architectural diagrams to ensure clarity and alignment with organizational objectives.
Engage proactively with various internal stakeholders to communicate project status updates, risks, and issues accurately while facilitating discussions to gather requirements and provide timely updates.
Manage system incidents with strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs), escalating matters appropriately and collaborating with relevant stakeholders at branch, regional, and global levels for swift resolution.
Ensure all activities align with established bank standards, guidelines, and policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in Financial Crime Compliance technology.
Oversee reporting team members by providing clear direction on deliverables, offering mentorship, and fostering a collaborative work environment that encourages knowledge sharing.
Work collaboratively across functional teams within the Global Financial Crimes Division (GFCD) to promote efficiency, cooperation, and shared responsibility for achieving compliance objectives.
Perform administrative tasks as required by Financial Crime Compliance Technology standards to support smooth day-to-day operations of the department.
Lead or participate in initiatives or projects that enhance technology governance over Financial Crime or Core Compliance systems as assigned by senior management.
Support ad-hoc requests from leadership or other departments as needed to ensure the continued effectiveness of compliance technology solutions.
What you bring: Skills and knowledge At least 10 years of hands on technology experience in system development, implementation, and support.
Demonstrated experience delivering system rollouts and functional enhancements for Transaction Filtering, Name Screening and KYC platforms within a banking or financial services environment.
Proven experience in Technology Project Management/Business System Analyst/Production Support..
Prior experience in managing KYC/Name Screening/Transaction Filtering systems.
Knowledge of Actimize and/or HotScan system will be an added advantage.
Should have knowledge of SWIFT payment message types.
Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Data analyzing abilities will be a plus.
Hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) related projects in Financial Crime Compliance domain will be advantageous
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex system concepts and issues to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently to deliver results.
Ability to motivate reporting team member(s)
Ability to join occasionally early morning/night calls with Global stakeholders.
Willingness to take on ad-hoc tasks as assigned from time to time.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Education & professional qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or above
