Our client are specialists in their industry sector, they are looking to recruit a CNC Mazak Turner to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a day shift position and working a 4 day working week 37 hours worked Monday-Thursday.

The job you’ll do

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Turner (MAZAC) Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team.

In this role, you will operate and program MAZAC CNC lathes to produce precision components with efficiency and accuracy.

Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality parts used across various industries, ensuring that production standards are consistently met or exceeded.

  • Set up and operate MAZAC CNC turning machines, ensuring optimal performance and precision.
  • Program CNC lathes using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software and SolidWorks to create detailed machining instructions.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce complex components accurately.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on CNC equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist in machine setup, adjustments, and minor repairs.
  • Perform grinding, welding, and assembly tasks as needed to complete finished parts or prototypes.
  • Apply basic math skills for measurements, tolerances, and quality control checks throughout the machining process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.

About You

  • Proven experience operating MAZAC CNC lathes or similar CNC turning machines in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and tooling for machining tasks.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks and general knowledge of CAD/CAM programming processes.
  • Knowledge of grinding, welding, plastics injection moulding, and assembly processes is a plus.
  • Basic math skills including measurements, tolerances, and calculations necessary for precision machining.
  • Understanding of plastics injection moulding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately for complex component fabrication.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in quality control inspections.
