Project Deployment IT Engineer

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Project Deployment Engineer to join an MSP delivery team, taking ownership of the technical rollout of client projects — from new site setups and infrastructure migrations through to hardware deployments and system upgrades. This is a hands-on, project-focused role for someone who thrives on structured delivery, enjoys working directly with clients on-site, and takes pride in getting deployments right first time.

The Role

You'll work closely with the wider technical team to deliver planned IT projects for clients — configuring, building and deploying infrastructure, workstations, networks and cloud environments to a consistent, high standard. You'll be the technical presence on the ground for client rollouts, ensuring projects are delivered on time, to specification, and with minimal disruption to the client's day-to-day operations.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver end-to-end technical deployment for client projects, including new site setups, office moves, and infrastructure refreshes
• Build, configure and deploy workstations, servers and network equipment (switches, routers, firewalls, access points) to agreed client standards
• Deploy and configure Microsoft 365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Intune and related cloud platforms as part of client onboarding and migration projects.
• Carry out some structured cabling, network configuration and internet connectivity setup on client sites
• Work from project plans and scopes provided by the Project Management team, flagging risks or blockers early
• Produce clear handover documentation, network diagrams and configuration records for each completed project
• Liaise directly with clients on-site, providing a professional, confident technical presence throughout the deployment
• Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes, tooling and documentation standards

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in a technical deployment, project engineer or field engineer role within an MSP or similar IT services environment
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra ID, and Intune
• Practical networking skills — switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, Wi-Fi deployment
• On-site infrastructure installation
• Comfortable working independently on client sites, managing your own time and priorities across multiple projects
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to represent the client professionally in front of clients, where confidentiality, compliance and a polished manner matter
• Full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel to client sites as required
