We are looking for you: An Audio System Design Engineer who wants to take a central role in an R&D team. You will be part of defining the future electronic solutions within our customer's product portfolio – from idea to finished product. This is a role for you who not only designs – but also structures, explains, and drives technical decisions forward at a high pace.

About the role

As a System Design Engineer, you are responsible for the overall system design in the customer's products. You ensure that solutions are technically robust, cost-effective, and capable of being industrialized.

A central part of the role is to produce clear and structured requirement specifications, both for internal development work and for projects where they outsource all or parts of the development. You need to be able to translate needs into concrete, well-thought-out documentation that others can work effectively from.

One works with short development cycles, which requires you to be able to switch between analysis and practical work – and quickly drive solutions forward.

Your main responsibilities

• Drive and develop new system solutions and product concepts
• Responsible for the overall design of audio electronics systems (incl. architecture and component selection)
• Produce structured requirement specifications and design documentation for both internal development and external partners
• Ensure that documentation is clear, complete, and possible to execute without misunderstandings
• Actively evaluate and justify technical choices (e.g., chip selection, RF, and audio solutions)
• Lead and follow up on PCBA design (internally and via partners)
• Work practically with prototypes, lab tests, and verification
• Quickly test ideas, iterate, and drive improvements
• Ensure that design meets requirements in e.g., EMC, RF, and acoustics
• Produce technical documentation for production and suppliers
• Drive changes and improvements in existing products

We are looking for you who…

• Has a strong technical foundation in audio/electronics and system design
• Has several years of experience in product development
• Is used to writing clear, structured requirement specifications and technical documentation
• Can package complex technology so that both internal teams and external suppliers can work effectively from it
• Is hands-on and thrives in a lab environment, where you test, measure, and iterate solutions
• Works quickly and solution-oriented – and drives the work forward even in the face of uncertainty
• Is confident in making technical decisions and can explain and justify them clearly
• Dares to question and improve existing solutions in a constructive way
• Is structured and methodical, even at a high pace

Technical competence

We would love to see that you have experience in several of the following areas:

• System design and architecture within embedded electronics
• PCB design is a must!
• EMC design
• RF design
• Audio, acoustics, and audio processing
• Programming / test environments (e.g., LabVIEW or similar)

Qualifications

• M.Sc. Engineering / B.Sc. Engineering in electronics or equivalent experience
• Several years of experience in electronics development in a product development environment
• Fluent English in speech and writing
• Swedish is a merit
