Legal Counsel (m/f/d) - Remote/fixed-term
Description As a (Senior) Legal Counsel (m/f/w), you will support the Legal Team and ensure the smooth execution of tasks within the department. You will actively contribute to new projects and develop new processes. You are not only the first point of contact for our employees but also advise our executives in a confidential sparring capacity on all legal issues. Due to parental leave coverage, the position is fixed-term for two years. An extension of the fixed-term employment relationship may be possible, depending on operational requirements. You can perform the position either fully remote or hybrid in Karlsruhe.
What you can look forward to You support the team in advising the company in the areas of Compliance, Legal & Data Protection. You are the first point of contact for employees and the management within the company regarding legal questions. You take into account current developments in case law and legislation and develop corresponding solutions for the requirements of our company. Your areas of responsibility also include contract negotiations as well as cooperation with and/or management of external consultants, e.g., law firms and authorities. You support all teams at Chrono24 – from new business models to ongoing project implementation – and ensure legal security from the very beginning. You report to the Head of Legal.
What distinguishes you You have two completed legal state examinations or a comparable qualification. You already have several years of experience as a generalist-oriented in-house counsel and have in-depth knowledge of corporate or IT law. Ideally, you bring experience from a technology or e-commerce company. A healthy sense of risk awareness and high social competence characterize you. With your strong communication skills and sympathetic demeanor, you know how to be convincing and have the ambition to always perform your work with high precision. You bring experience in using AI tools in the legal field and have already built up structures, skills, or workflows for the productive use of AI in a legal department yourself. Teamwork, organizational thinking, and independent action are among your strengths. You manage to explain complex matters simply and concisely and have very good English skills.
