Position: CNC Turner – Programmer

Location: Romsey, Hampshire

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 DOE

Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm / Friday 7:30am–12:30pm

Our client based in Romsey has an immediate requirement for an experienced CNC Turner / Programmer to join their busy engineering team on a permanent basis. The duties will include the following:

• Programme, set and operate CNC turning machines.
• Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Set tooling, offsets and work-holding.
• Ensure components are produced accurately and to required tolerances.
• Produce precision components from one-off through to batches of 40.
• Carry out quality checks throughout the machining process.
• Make programme and offset adjustments where required.

We will only accept applications from experienced CNC Turners who have recent and relevant experience, including in programming and setting. You will of course need the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to produce precision components to tight tolerances and will need a good understanding of tooling and machining processes.

Previous experience of using Fanuc programming would be beneficial, as would a background in aerospace or high-precision engineering environments.

The position is offered on a permanent basis, with an immediate start available for the right candidate. There is a starting salary of £38,000 to £40,000 per annum on offer, dependent on skills and experience; there is also a benefits package which includes a profit share bonus scheme.
