Strategic Planner
Strategy Planner Bristol/Hybrid £60k-£65k
We’re looking for an experienced healthcare communications professional with a strong strategic mindset and the ability to turn insight into effective brand and communications strategies.
You’ll be skilled at making sense of complex information, research and audience insights, turning them into clear, compelling strategies that give brands direction and help them stand out in the market.
You might be an established strategist looking for your next challenge, or you may have built your career in client services or account management, gradually taking on more strategic responsibility and now wanting to make that the main focus of your role.
Whatever your route into strategy, you’ll need a solid understanding of the pharmaceutical, healthcare or veterinary sector, alongside the ability to get under the skin of brands, audiences and markets to uncover the insights that really matter.
What you’ll be doing
Develop clear, compelling brand and communications strategies based on research, data and audience insight. Work with clients and internal teams to define challenges, objectives and strategic direction. Lead strategic projects from the initial brief through to creative development, evaluation and reporting. Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and help shape their thinking. Lead workshops and present strategic recommendations with confidence. Work collaboratively with creative and client teams to ensure strategy informs the work from the outset. Contribute to pitches, new business opportunities and wider business growth. Share your knowledge and help strengthen strategic thinking across teams.
What we’re looking for
Essential experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare or veterinary communications. A strong background in strategic planning, brand strategy or communications strategy. The ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging and commercially relevant recommendations. Confidence presenting to senior stakeholders, leading workshops and influencing decision-making. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to bring people together around a shared direction. Experience working across different markets or internationally would be useful.
You could have come through a dedicated strategy role, or developed your strategic expertise through client services, account management or another relevant discipline. What matters is that you can demonstrate strong strategic thinking, understand the healthcare landscape and are ready to take a leading role in shaping brand and communications strategy.
Experience using AI to support research and strategic development would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
