Logistics & Distribution Coordinator

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and proactive Logistics Executive to join a busy operations team based in Bishop's Stortford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating outbound deliveries, liaising with warehouses, freight providers and internal teams to ensure goods are delivered efficiently, on time and in full.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate outbound shipments and arrange transportation with third-party freight providers.
• Liaise with warehouse teams to ensure orders are dispatched accurately and on schedule.
• Monitor deliveries, provide regular updates and resolve any delays or issues promptly.
• Work closely with Customer Care and other internal departments to maintain excellent service levels.
• Monitor freight provider performance against agreed KPIs.
• Ensure freight costs and shipment information are accurately recorded on the ERP system.
• Maintain knowledge of shipping procedures, Incoterms and import/export requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in logistics, shipping or transport coordination.
• Good understanding of outbound deliveries and freight processes.
• Knowledge of Incoterms and import/export procedures would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Good IT skills, ideally with experience using ERP systems and preferably some knowledge of Sage.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
