Location: Swindon Salary: £13p/h- £16p/h Job Type: Full-Time | Temporary to Permanent
Forklift Driver / Warehouse Operative Required
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Forklift licence to join a busy warehouse team in Swindon. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable Warehouse Operative who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is looking for long-term career prospects.
As a Warehouse Operative , you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring stock is moved safely and efficiently using a forklift, while also carrying out general Warehouse Operative duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift
- Picking and packing orders accurately as a Warehouse Operative
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving stock around the warehouse safely
- Booking goods in and out
- Stock control and inventory checks
- Maintaining a clean and organised warehouse
- Supporting the wider team with general Warehouse Operative duties
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Meeting productivity and accuracy targets
Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance and/or Reach Forklift Licence essential
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative
- Good understanding of warehouse processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable and punctual approach to work
- Good communication skills
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling duties
