Location: Basingstoke Contract: Temporary | Full-time Start Date: 1st October Salary: £12.80 an hour

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a friendly and proactive Receptionist / Centre Coordinator to join a busy business centre in Basingstoke on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys providing exceptional customer service, building relationships and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a professional workspace.

The Role

Acting as the face of the business centre, you will provide a high-quality front-of-house service while supporting customers, visitors and the wider operations team. This is a varied role combining reception, customer service, administration and centre coordination responsibilities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming visitors and providing a professional front-of-house experience
  • Managing incoming calls, emails, deliveries and post
  • Supporting customer onboarding and ensuring a smooth move-in process
  • Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries and resolving issues efficiently
  • Building strong relationships with customers and enhancing the overall customer experience
  • Coordinating meeting room bookings and maintaining communal areas
  • Supporting customer engagement activities and networking events
  • Assisting with office viewings and general sales support
  • Maintaining customer records, availability reports and centre administration
  • Monitoring cleaning, maintenance and presentation standards across the centre
  • Supporting the Business Centre Manager with day-to-day operational requirements

About You

Essential:

  • Previous reception, front-of-house, hospitality or customer service experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer-focused approach with a positive attitude
  • Professional presentation and confident telephone manner
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a busy environment
  • Proactive and solutions-focused approach
