Job Overview

You will be deployed to our client who is a leading government technology agency driving digital transformation and innovation in the healthcare sector. We are looking for an ambitious Junior Cloud & Automation Engineer to join our team supporting a leading government healthcare technology agency. In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure while leveraging Microsoft Power Platform to automate processes and modernize healthcare digital solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing, deploying, and maintaining reliable solutions on AWS to support applications.
  • Monitor system health, performance metrics, and logs using AWS CloudWatch, responding to alerts and troubleshooting issues.
  • Support infrastructure scaling, provisioning, and automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply AWS security best practices, manage IAM policies, and configure networking rules (VPC, Security Groups, NACLs) to ensure strict data governance.
  • Develop digital workflows and user-friendly business applications using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Identify opportunities to optimize workflows by integrating Power Platform applications with AWS backends and third-party systems.
  • Stay updated on cloud and automation trends, helping communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical operational teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services through academic capstones, personal projects, or internships.
  • Demonstrated hands-on coding experience.
  • Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPC, subnets), IAM access control, and cloud security fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., AWS CloudFormation or Terraform) and CI/CD deployment workflows.
  • Knowledge of or interest in low-code development tools like Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps / Power Automate).
  • Experience with Docker and container management (AWS ECS or EKS).
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner / Solutions Architect Associate) or Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals.
