Location: Wolverhampton - Office Based Hours: 3 days per week, 9:00am-5:00pm Days: Flexible - choose your 3 working days from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Contract: Fixed Term - Maternity Cover Start: ASAP We're looking for an experienced Substance Misuse Practitioner to join a supportive team in Wolverhampton on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. This is an office-based role supporting individuals affected by substance misuse, helping them make positive changes, access appropriate services and work towards recovery.

The Role

  • Providing one-to-one support to individuals experiencing substance misuse
  • Completing assessments and identifying individual support needs
  • Developing and reviewing support plans
  • Supporting individuals to work towards recovery and positive outcomes
  • Signposting and referring to appropriate services
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential case records
  • Working closely with other professionals and support services

About You

  • Previous experience working within substance misuse services is essential
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals and those with complex needs
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A non-judgemental and person-centred approach
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
  • A valid DBS is required

Working Pattern

This is a 3-day-per-week position, 9am-5pm , with the flexibility to choose your own working days from Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday . Fixed-term maternity cover contract with an ASAP start.
