Fullstack Developer (Java, React)

Join a strategic transformation project for one of the largest insurance companies in Poland. As a Full Stack Developer, you will work on the development of a modern claims and benefits service ecosystem, utilizing Java, Spring, React, Apache Kafka, workflow solutions, and Azure cloud.

The project involves the implementation and development of an Enterprise-class claims system, its integration with an ecosystem of other systems, and the development of solutions supporting business process automation. This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale project in an international environment, using modern technologies and AI in the software development process.

Daily tasks

• Development and implementation of an Enterprise-class claims system and its integration with other systems.
• Analysis of business and technical requirements and their implementation.
• Creating and developing the backend in Java / Spring and frontend applications in React.
• Designing and developing integrations using REST API, events, and integration services.
• Working with Apache Kafka and workflow solutions, including Flowable/BPMN.
• Participating in the design of solutions considering performance, security, scalability, and system resilience.
• Creating unit and integration tests and participating in system tests.
• Participating in code review and ensuring the quality of delivered code.
• Diagnosing problems and analyzing solution performance.
• Utilizing AI tools in requirement analysis, implementation, testing, and solution documentation.
• Collaborating with architects, analysts, testers, integration teams, and the international solution provider.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in Java. Very good knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot / Spring Cloud and Hibernate. Minimum 3 years of experience with Apache Kafka. Very good knowledge of SQL. Practical experience in creating frontend applications using React. Experience in designing and developing integrations and REST API. Knowledge of creating unit and integration tests, e.g., JUnit, TestNG, Spock, Testcontainers, WireMock. Knowledge of Docker / application containerization. Knowledge of process engines and BPMN - experience with Flowable is welcome. Knowledge of resilience patterns in distributed systems. Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) and functional programming. Experience in using tools for application diagnostics and performance analysis. Ability to practically use AI tools supporting the software development process. English language at a minimum B2 level, also in oral communication.

Nice to have: Knowledge of DDD and experience in its practical application. Experience with Azure or other cloud solutions. Experience in using AI Agents / Agentic AI in the software development process.
