System Architect (Java)

Join a project being implemented for Our client - one of the largest insurance companies in Poland. The goal of the project is the development and modernization of systems supporting key business processes. We are looking for a System Architect who will co-create the direction of architectural development and participate in the transformation of an existing monolithic solution towards a modern, scalable microservices architecture based on a private cloud. In this position, you will combine architectural competencies with a practical approach to development, support development teams, co-create technical solutions, and have an influence on standards and technological development directions.

Daily tasks

• Co-creating and programming changes in the system supporting property insurance processes.
• Designing migration strategies from monolithic to microservices architecture.
• Designing scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Supporting development teams in designing and implementing solutions.
• Creating and documenting system architecture and making architectural decisions.
• Co-creating technological roadmaps, risk analysis, and managing technical debt.
• Conducting code reviews, architectural workshops, and mentoring teams.
• Supporting feasibility analyses and defining implementation assumptions.
• Developing technological standards and supporting their application in the organization.
• Implementing new technologies and supporting the development of DevOps culture.
• Ensuring end-to-end observability and the quality and consistency of integrations between systems.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and supervising system architecture. Very good knowledge of Java and Spring. Experience in designing scalable, secure, and fault-tolerant distributed systems. Very good knowledge of architectural patterns and integration practices. Experience with cloud and infrastructure automation. Practical knowledge of DDD (Domain-Driven Design). Experience in Event-Driven Architecture and with Kafka. Practical knowledge of API Governance. Experience in the area of end-to-end observability ( Kibana, Grafana, ELK ). Ability to conduct code reviews, mentoring, and architectural workshops. Experience in co-creating technological roadmaps and risk assessment. Knowledge of English (min. B2) Nice to have: Experience in defining technological standards in an organization. Knowledge of Agentic SDLC / Agentic AI Experience in multi-cloud strategies.
