*Job Summary*

MLI is looking for a Social Media & Marketing Coordinator to create English and Chinese content and keep our social media accounts running day to day, with a particular focus on *Xiaohongshu (RedNote).*

Working with the Marketing Manager, you will turn approved plans and briefs into graphics, short videos and published content. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys making content, keeping projects organized and following work through from the initial brief to final delivery.

*Responsibilities*

  • Write, edit and adapt English and Chinese social media copy for each account?s audience and tone.
  • Film and edit short videos and design social media graphics, including covers, captions and promotional materials.
  • Maintain content calendars across multiple accounts, keeping drafts, reviews and publishing dates on schedule.
  • Coordinate photo and video materials with colleagues and organize source files, editable assets and approved content.
  • Prepare, schedule and publish approved content, checking image dimensions, video formats, copy, hashtags and platform requirements before posting, and verifying that each post displays correctly.
  • Support paid social campaigns by preparing ad materials, setting up approved campaigns and tracking spend and basic performance metrics under the Marketing Manager?s direction.
  • Assist with online promotions, marketing campaigns and on-site events.
  • Maintain organized marketing files and performance records, and prepare brief progress updates.
  • Manage assigned tasks independently, flag questions or delays early, and incorporate feedback within agreed deadlines.

*Requirements*

  • At least one year of relevant marketing, social media or content creation experience. Agency experience, in-house education marketing experience is preferred.
  • Strong writing and editing skills in both English and Chinese, with the ability to adapt content naturally for each audience.
  • Experience creating and publishing content for multiple social media accounts, with a strong understanding of Xiaohongshu content formats and trends.
  • Practical skills in video filming, production and editing, as well as graphic design, supported by a verifiable portfolio.
  • Familiarity with platform-specific image dimensions, video formats, caption structure, hashtags and publishing rules.
  • Proficiency in CapCut, Jianying (??), Canva, Gaoding (??) and Adobe Creative Cloud, along with Google Workspace and Lark for everyday collaboration and file management.
  • Ability to support paid advertising execution and track basic campaign metrics.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.

Pay: $42,000.00 per year
