Social Studies Teachers Seeking social studies teachers to provide instruction for students dealing with human behavior, to employ facts, concepts, generalizations, and skills of history and the social sciences to promote responsible citizenship. Summary Description Under direction of the school principal, plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students. Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social and emotional development of individuals to ensure Success for Every Student. Supervises students in a variety of school related settings. Monitors and evaluates student outcomes. Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff and community. Develops, selects and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students. Maintains appropriate records and follows required procedures and practices. Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials and facilities. Certificate License Meets Maryland State Department of Education certification requirements in appropriate field of education. Job Specific Information Applicants will be considered to teach Social Studies for the 27-28 school year. Must meet the requirements for teacher licensure in Social Studies Grades 7-12 as stated by the Maryland State Department of Education or have a pathway to certification. The wage range for this position is a salary between $64,591 and $131,472 based on education and experience.
