General Operations & Logistics / Transport Manager
The transport company Phoenix Logistics, based in Thessaloniki with a branch in Aspropyrgos, Attica, is seeking a General Operations & Logistics / Transport Manager with experience in both operations management and business development, as part of its expansion.
Main Responsibilities
Operations Management Organization and supervision of all company operations. Management of transport, routing, vehicle fleet, warehouse, and distributions. Optimization of processes aiming for efficiency, service quality, and cost control.
Human Resources Management Guidance and development of driver, warehouse, dispatch, and sales teams. Daily team management and resolution of operational problems. Ensuring effective cooperation between departments.
Sales & Business Development Attracting new customers for transport, warehousing, and logistics services. Maintenance and development of existing partnerships. Conducting meetings with customers and developing strategic partnerships. Formulation of offers, price lists, and commercial agreements in cooperation with Management.
Financial Monitoring Monitoring profitability per customer, service, and project. Monitoring operating costs and profit margins. Regular reporting of results and performance indicators to Management.
Required Qualifications: University or TEI degree in Economics, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field. Proven professional experience of 3 to 5 years in a similar position within the transport and/or logistics industry. Mandatory experience in both: operations management and business development and sales. Very good knowledge of English. Ability to manage and develop teams. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Commercial mindset and negotiation skills. Ability to travel professionally to Athens at least 2 times per month. Very good knowledge of MS Office and modern management tools. Knowledge of WMS, TMS, or ERP systems.
Desired Qualifications Existing network of contacts with industrial, commercial, or other businesses that use transport, warehousing, and logistics services.
