Cargo Supervisor
Responsible for supervising all cargo operations and marine tasks, including those related to life-saving equipment, onboard in a safe, efficient, and effective manner, according to the instructions of the Marine Superintendent, in compliance with MODEC procedures, national and international regulations and standards, supervising offshore marine teams, in liaison with clients, authorities, and onshore departments, thus ensuring unit availability, safe operation, and proper certification, contributing to business continuity and growth.
Responsibilities and assignments We are looking for a professional for the Cargo Supervisor position to work in an offshore opportunity abroad: The selected professionals will perform functions such as: Responsible for planning and executing all marine operations, including, but not limited to vessel stability, loading and unloading operations, preparation of the vessel for surveys and inspections, maintenance and conservation of marine equipment, hull and equipment, management of the marine crew aiming to guarantee safe and environmentally sound marine operations of the FPSO for the unit to which they are allocated. Ensure that the vessel is always within safe stress limits, staying within draft, stress, trim, and list limits by being completely familiar with the loading computer, cargo, and ballast system. Routine checks of the vessel's cargo/ballast conditions and preparation of loading/unloading plans, as required. Ensure safe loading and unloading operations of crude oil by safely mooring the discharge tanker, safely operating the discharge station, cargo/ballast pumps, and Inert Gas System. Guarantee that cargo according to specifications is discharged to the tanker by monitoring cargo quality in the tanks regularly. Contribute to approval in special surveys, class, flag, and port state inspections by preparing the vessel thoroughly and ensuring timely reminders to the shore base to arrange for the performance of surveys and inspections.
Requirements: STCW II/2 Chief Mate Unlimited License Experience in FPSO as Chief Mate or Cargo Supervisor Regulatory training up to date: ESOP, GMDSS, Fluent English Availability to perform rotation in China, during the pre-operation phase; ______________________________________________________________ We are looking for a professional to work as Cargo Supervisor in an Offshore opportunity abroad: The selected professionals will perform activities such as: Responsible for planning and executing all marine operations, including but not limited to stability of the vessel, loading and offloading operations, preparation of the vessel for surveys and inspections, maintenance and up keep of marine equipment, hull & outfitting, management of marine crew aiming to guarantee safe and environmentally sound FPSO marine operations for the unit that he is assigned to. Ensure that the vessel is always within safe stress limits, keeping within the limits of draft, stresses, trim & list by being completely familiar with the loading computer, cargo and ballast system. Routine checks of the vessel’s loading/ballast condition & preparing loading / discharging plans, as required. Assure safe loading and offloading operations of crude oil by safely mooring the offtake tanker, safely operating offload station, cargo / ballast pumps, Inert Gas System. Guarantee on spec cargo is offloaded to the tanker by monitoring the cargo quality in the tanks on a regular basis. Contribute to the successful passing of special surveys, class, flag and port state inspections by preparing the vessel thoroughly and ensuring timely reminders to shore base to arrange for surveys and inspections to be conducted.
Requirements: STCW II/2 Chief Mate Unlimited; Previous experience working as Chief Mate or Cargo Supervisor on FPSO Valid certificates: Advanced training for oil tanker cargo operations, GMDSS Fluent in English Mobility to rotation to China during pre-operations phase;
