PURCHASER

Manages the purchasing of building materials and oversees the delivery and transport of goods to construction sites. Find and buy construction materials, tools, and heavy equipment. Talk with suppliers and vendors to get the best prices and payment terms. Create and track purchase orders to fit project schedules. Keep track of spending so the project stays within its financial plan. Schedule delivery trucks to move materials and equipment to and from job sites. Optimize travel routes for delivery trucks to save time and fuel. Oversee company transport vehicles, maintenance schedules, and driver assignments. Ensure all orders arrive on time and inspect delivered goods for damage or missing items.

Qualifications/Requirements: 1 to 2 years of background in buying, inventory management, general procurement, or transport logistics. Strong math and data interpretation skills to evaluate supplier bids and market trends. Clear verbal and written skills to build relationships with suppliers and coordinate with internal departments. Experience using Microsoft Excel and enterprise resource planning (ERP) or procurement software. Familiarity with dispatch software, GPS fleet tracking, and basic vehicle repair or maintenance protocols.
