COSTS AND BUDGETS INTERN

Main objective of the vacancy:

Support the Costs and Budgets area in the integration, analysis, review, and updating of technical and economic information for the preparation of budgets, unit prices, quotes, and proposals for industrial and government projects, progressively developing the capacity to interpret engineering information, identify inconsistencies, analyze costs, and use digital tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make search, analysis, comparison, review, and presentation of information processes more efficient, always under the supervision of the area manager.

Requirements:

• Student in the 7th or 8th semester of a related Engineering degree.
• Proficiency in English.
• Willingness to learn and use AI tools.
• Intermediate Excel.
• Mathematical, analytical, and logical thinking capacity.
• Basic knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Organization, responsibility, and attention to detail.
• Initiative, technical curiosity, and ease of learning.
• Interest in developing within industrial projects, costs, and budgets.

Main Activities:

• Support the preparation and updating of costs, budgets, and unit prices.
• Analyze quotes and perform price comparisons.
• Research prices for materials, equipment, and services.
• Support the interpretation of blueprints and electrical and/or mechanical technical information.
• Prepare reports and KPIs for the area.
• Participate in data analysis and process improvement.
• Use Excel, digital tools, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to optimize tasks, analyze information, and automate processes.

It will be a plus if you have:

• AutoCAD.
• Experience using ChatGPT or other AI tools.
• Knowledge of costs and unit prices.
• Academic experience in industrial projects.
• Knowledge of electricity, piping, or assembly.
• Technical English.
• Basic knowledge of automation.

Hiring is done through the School-Company Plan and a scholarship grant of up to $8,400 pesos is provided depending on the hours worked, plus accident insurance through COPARMEX. The company is located in the Plaza Auriga offices in San Pedro Garza García.
