Interface Manager
Job Description & Requirements The Interface Manager serves as the central site-level link managing technical, logistical, and operational interfaces across the complex CARP and CAPEX projects. This role ensures that new system installations (CAPEX) and critical brownfield system refurbishments (CARP) align perfectly with ongoing civil works, architectural constraints, and operational environments without service disruption. Job Responsibilities Technical & Design Interface Management Act as the primary on-site conduit between the MHI Engineering Team in Japan and local stakeholders, translating complex technical design requirements into actionable site implementation plans. Collaborate closely with CAG’s Civil and Architectural Consultants to ensure structural modifications, cable containment, and spatial provisions seamlessly accommodate MHI’s new and refurbished subsystems. Facilitate interface matrix alignment across all major project scopes, including new vehicles, Power Supply Distribution (PSD), Platform Screen Doors (PDS), Signalling, Communications and Guideway Track Infrastructure. Stakeholder Coordination & Alignment Serve as the technical interface point-of-contact for Changi Airport Group (CAG) and their appointed consultants, driving the timely review and approval of Interface Control Documents (ICDs). Serve as PIC for work permits (using CAG’s inhouse portal/system) for all MHI and MHI subcon works. Coordinate directly with CAG’s third-party main contractors and MHI’s designated subcontractors to eliminate spatial clashes, scheduling conflicts, and execution overlap at the site office. Organize and chair regular on-site Interface Coordination Meetings to resolve cross-package technical conflicts, tracking open items through an updated Interface Register Site Installation & Asset Modernisation Support Brownfield Refurbishment (CARP) Coordination: Carefully plan interface schedules for brownfield refurbishments (such as PSD modifications and signaling upgrades) to ensure zero impact on the live, daily operations of the existing Skytrain system. Capacity Expansion (CAPEX) Readiness: Oversee the structural and electrical readiness of the site prior to the delivery, installation, and integration of new vehicles and expanded infrastructure. Verify Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Boundaries: Assist the T&C teams in defining interface testing boundaries, ensuring all interconnected systems operate cohesively during local integration testing.
