Captain - KOS
Location: Kos Employment Type: Seasonal/Full-time Ref: HO/CAPK
Purpose
As Captain (A la carte /Central) you will staff the F&B department team with the aim of smooth operation and excellent service to guests, according to Mitsis Group standards, in modern restaurants with an emphasis on Mediterranean cuisine in a unique setting.
Responsibilities
- Organizes and coordinates the daily operation of the restaurant (Mise En Place) according to company standards.
- Trains and guides their team to operate according to Mitsis Group values and standards.
- Monitors the cleanliness and proper operation and use of the equipment used.
- Controls the flow of Service, guiding and coordinating their team with the aim of providing the best service to guests.
- Knows the restaurant menu for the purpose of providing clarifications or suggestions.
- Serves guests and manages any issue that arises regarding guests, the station, and the team according to Mitsis Group standards.
- Monitors customer satisfaction, emphasizing the improvement and development of services.
- Oversees compliance with ISO standards and procedures and ensures the correct implementation of hygiene and safety rules in the food and beverage departments.
Required Qualifications:
- Tourism education/diploma/ Degree/ Studies will be considered an additional qualification.
- 3+ years of experience in a corresponding department, ideally in a hotel environment.
- Excellent knowledge of English (knowledge of a second foreign language will be considered an advantage).
- Desirable experience in Mitsis Hotels Group.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, good knowledge of ERP, ordering system.
