Your tasks
The role of the Specification Sales Manager – Architectural Glazing will involve:
- Selling a premium / high end architectural and structural glazing solution involving a design-led service
- No cold calling, our client is inundated with enquiries directly from architects and contractors (majority of business is repeat business by referrals)
- Specification field sales role, circa 50% of your time winning projects with architects, 40% contractors and 10% end users
- Projects typically; 40% high-end residential, 40% heritage sites and 20% commercial
- Majority of your time responding to quotes and nurturing projects, small amount of developing new business through referral from existing relationships
- Every Monday in our clients’ North London office or central London showroom
- Rest of the time in front of architects and contractors/ builders (although often utilising our clients’ office and showroom, to present/ demonstrate glazing systems)
- Revenue target circa £2m
- Typical projects size £300,000 (but can range from £50,000 to £1.5m)
Requirements
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager – Architectural Glazing with:
- Must have specification field sales experience with architects or contractors
- Ideally some association to the glass industry, but open if you have an understanding of building regulations
- Personable
- Ability to sell a premium product and high end design service
- Access to North London
- Ability to read architectural drawings may be advantageous
- Proven sales techniques, understands solution selling
- Excellent relationship building skills from factory floor to architects
- Ideally strong academics and numeracy
- Teamwork orientated
- Ability to gain strong technical know how quickly
What we offer
Remuneration: £45,000 - £55,000 Neg. + £10,000-£15,000 Bonus
Benefits: £5,000 Car Allowance & Full Benefits
