Interim Group Accountant

About the company

We are currently recruiting for an Interim Group Management Accountant on behalf of a well-established professional services business based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a growing group finance function, supporting month-end reporting, financial controls and the delivery of accurate management information across multiple entities.

Your tasks

Requirements

Ideally you will

• Have proven experience in a Group Management Accountant, Management Accountant or Financial Accountant role.
• Have strong technical accounting knowledge, including month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Have experience with group reporting, consolidations and intercompany reconciliations.
• Be confident analysing financial performance, investigating variances and providing meaningful commentary to senior stakeholders.
• Have strong Excel skills and experience using finance systems or ERP platforms.
• Be able to work to tight deadlines, manage competing priorities and hit the ground running in an interim position.
• Be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
