Facilities Technician

Roles & Responsibilities Responsible for day to day operations and monitoring of all facilities’ equipment to minimise downtime Carry out troubleshooting/repair to electrical and mechanical system, general M&E works as well as handyman tasks for MiRXES offices, labs, medical centres facilities operations and provide technical input on gaps/improvement to Supervisor or Facility Manager Assist Supervisor or Facility Manager to keep and update records of M&E installations/alterations and equipment for various sites To maintain proper records of technical drawings, plans and all M&E services including operational manuals Coordinate, supervise and follow-up closely with contractors on preventive maintenance for various mechanical & electrical equipment, including but not limited to: ACMV Systems, Plumbing & Sanitary System, Security System & FM soft services (Amenities, Fittings & Fixtures) and rectification to resolve facilities issues Respond promptly to facilities breakdowns and emergency calls, including after-hours call-outs as part of an on-call roster. Carry out and supervise work at height, electrical isolation and other high-risk work in line with permit-to-work, risk assessment and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, in compliance with the WSH Act and Work at Height Regulations Log, update and close work orders in the facilities maintenance / ticketing system, and keep maintenance records in line with Good Documentation Practice (GDP) to support ISO 13485 and customer audits Support the upkeep of critical laboratory and manufacturing utilities and equipment e.g. cleanroom ACMV, cold storage, including response to equipment alarms Work closely with various functions to meet quality, regulatory, safety, operation and maintenance requirement Perform any other duties, responsibilities and projects as assigned
Desired Skills and Competencies At least 1-3 years of experiences in building management, Mechanical and Electrical systems, preferably in a laboratory, cleanroom, hospital or other regulated environment. Possess a Higher / NITEC in Facility Technology (Mechanical & Electrical Services), Facility Management or equivalent Proficient in MS Office Applications; experience with work-order system is an advantage Positive working attitude and a team player Possess good interpersonal skills, the ability to handle difficult situations and works well in a fast-paced environment Able to perform physical work including ladder work and lifting, and willing to join the after-hours on-call roster This position is based in Singapore.
