Job Description Familiarity with the complete glass manufacturing process; ability to quickly identify product defects, analyze root causes, and improve yield rates. Familiarity with factory production equipment (e.g., glass cutting machines, edging machines, washing machines); ability to perform daily inspections and basic troubleshooting, and coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs. Quality Control: Understanding quality standards and executing IQC (incoming), IPQC (in-process), and FQC (finished goods) inspections; maintaining quality records and handling customer complaints and rework of defective items. Production Planning: Scheduling daily production based on orders; managing capacity and delivery timelines; monitoring material inventory; and minimizing raw material waste (glass is a high-loss material). Basic Office Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for production statistics and reporting; Word for report writing) and experience with ERP production systems for data entry. Technical Drawing Interpretation: Ability to read architectural glass and mirror processing drawings and verify dimensions and installation specifications. Oversee daily production in the glass workshop to ensure orders are completed on time and to quality standards; Manage the production team, including scheduling, training, and performance appraisals; Control product quality and minimize defects and scrap; Manage daily maintenance and servicing of workshop equipment; Requirements High resilience under pressure: Willingness to work shifts and overtime, and to accommodate rush orders during peak seasons. Strong sense of responsibility and decisiveness; ability to quickly resolve unexpected issues regarding production, quality, or personnel on the shop floor. Good communication and coordination skills; ability to motivate the team effectively. Meticulous and detail-oriented; capable of meeting strict dimensional accuracy requirements for glass products and minimizing batch errors. Willing to work retail hours, shift work, weekends, and public holidays.
