Structural Engineer

We are looking for a structural engineer to join our construction team in the UAE.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2–3 years of hands-on structural engineering experience in the UAE, with strong knowledge of structural design, site execution, drawings, inspections, and coordination with consultants and contractors.

The candidate should be comfortable working in a construction/project environment and be able to coordinate effectively with site teams, consultants, and other disciplines.

Key responsibilities

Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents.

Monitor structural works at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and site teams regarding structural works.

Conduct site inspections and identify structural issues or discrepancies.

Review structural calculations, shop drawings, and method statements where required.

Coordinate structural design requirements with architectural, MEP, and other disciplines.

Provide technical support to the construction team during execution.

Identify and resolve structural issues arising during construction.

Monitor the quality and progress of structural works.

Assist with preparation and review of RFIs, technical submissions, and other project documentation.

Ensure structural works are executed in accordance with applicable UAE standards, approved drawings, and project specifications.

Participate in meetings with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Maintain proper documentation and records related to structural works.

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of hands-on structural engineering experience in the UAE is mandatory.

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or structural engineering.

Strong understanding of reinforced concrete and/or structural steel construction.

Practical knowledge of structural drawings, detailing, and site execution.

Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors, and site teams.

Ability to identify and resolve structural issues on site.

Good knowledge of construction methods and structural engineering principles.

Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.

Knowledge of structural analysis/design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, or similar is preferred.

Experience working on residential, commercial, or high-rise construction projects in the UAE.

Experience dealing with UAE consultants and authorities.

Familiarity with UAE construction standards, specifications, and approval procedures.

UAE engineering accreditation/registration will be an advantage.

Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary construction team.
