Officer position (m/f/d)
in the Joint Regional Planning Department Berlin – Brandenburg,
in the unit GL 2 "European Spatial Development, Capital Region, Regional Development" for the Interreg B project HyAdvanceCE in the Central Europe program area.
This is a full-time position (project position) limited until August 31, 2028, in accordance with § 14 para. 1 of the Part-Time and Fixed-Term Employment Act (TzBfG), to be filled at the earliest possible date.
Your area of responsibility includes the tasks of the project management (Lead Partner) within the framework of the Interreg Central Europe project HyAdvanCE.
The overarching project goal of HyAdvanCE is to enable regions in Central Europe to successfully shape the transformation process of the hydrogen economy by transferring existing results from previous Interreg projects into application-oriented planning approaches, cross-border strategies, and transferable solutions.
The project comprises three work packages, with the Joint Regional Planning Department acting as Lead Partner for the first work package: development and validation of a common Hydrogen Planning Guidance as well as pilot implementation in cross-border regions.
The tasks include in particular:
- Overall project management and leadership of the first work package (Hydrogen Planning Guidance and pilot actions)
- Coordination of the development and consolidation of existing methods and tools from previous projects into a common Hydrogen Planning Guidance
- Steering the conception, implementation, and evaluation of four pilot actions in European border regions
- Planning and leading the pilot action (and subsequent strategy development) for the border area Ostbrandenburg-Westpommern
- Development and coordination of the derivation of cross-border strategies and action plans based on the pilot results
- Organization, implementation, and documentation of national and international project events, workshops, and stakeholder processes
- Steering and quality assurance of external procurements within the framework of the project
- Responsible financial processing as well as content monitoring and reporting of the overall project to the program secretariat of the Interreg Central Europe program
- Ensuring coherence between pilot activities, strategic development, and long-term use of project results via the H2CE Collaboration Platform
What you bring to this activity
- completed university degree (accredited Master's, university diploma, or equivalent higher education degree) preferably in planning sciences, geosciences, engineering, economics/business administration, political science
- very good English skills, both written and spoken
- experience in managing Interreg B projects or comparable trans- or international projects
- communication and moderation skills
- punctuality, reliability, and above-average commitment
- willingness to undertake multi-day travel domestically and abroad
- a high degree of teamwork, as well as planning and organizational skills
- strong ability to shape and solve problems

- experience in public administration and public procurement practice
- experience in the field of communication and public relations
- knowledge of other European funding programs, especially CEF and Horizon 2020 / Horizon Europe
- knowledge of the stakeholder landscape in the field of spatial development and the energy industry
