Activities:

  • Ensure that projects meet the requirements of the legislation applicable to dam safety, such as ANM Resolutions 95 and 220, State Law 23.291, and the GISTM International Standard;
  • Interact with and manage contracts with third-party companies for consultancy, design, topography, geotechnical field and laboratory investigations, audits, and Engineer of Record (EoR);
  • Interact with the Engineer of Record (EoR) and the Responsible Technical Engineer of Geotechnical Structures (RTFE) to ensure the preparation of engineering projects and the implementation of geotechnical structures.
  • Monitor technical studies and projects for new geotechnical structures of the company, improvement projects for existing structures, closure projects for dams and tailings and waste rock piles, drainage projects, and closure projects for inactive mining areas;
  • Monitor, together with the EoR and RTFE, the implementation of closure works for dams and waste rock and tailings piles to ensure design criteria with technical excellence and compliance with applicable legal requirements;
  • Prepare reports, dashboards with KPIs, presentations, and schedules for the geotechnical projects under your responsibility;
  • Keep the operation manuals for dams and waste rock and tailings piles updated;
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of the GISTM standard at Jaguar;
  • Manage responses to requirements from technical expert consultancies that support decisions from Public Authorities (MPMG, MPF, ANM, FEAM, and similar);
  • Interact with and technically influence the engineering, mine operation, plant, maintenance, mine planning, environment, legal, and institutional and government relations areas;
  • Exercise technical leadership in the development of the company's Master Plan for Tailings and Waste Rock Disposal and Water Balance, when necessary, and always with the support of senior leadership and executives in the area;
  • Participate and collaborate technically in the risk assessments of the company's geotechnical structures.
  • Monitor visits made to geotechnical structures by regulatory bodies (ANM, FEAM, MPMG, and similar), insurers, shareholders, and independent audits;
  • Participate in the preparation of OPEX and CAPEX budgets for the company's geotechnical demands.

  • Academic background in civil engineering;
  • Mandatory specialization in Geotechnics;
  • Intermediate English;
  • Advanced Office Package for the preparation of technical reports;
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Project or Primavera software;
  • Practice with software: Autocad, Rocscience Slide;
  • Intermediate knowledge in AI tools (Copilot, Gemini);
  • Solid experience developed in the mining segment with geotechnical project management;
  • Soft Skills: Administrator, planner, organized, converging teams toward a common goal, good communicator, focused, creative, dynamic, strategic, innovative, builder of relationships with stakeholders, presence on the shop floor, good listener, experienced, disciplined, participative, debater, deadline-driven, and great skill in risk perception.
