Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead two strategic business systems initiatives:

• Integration of the company's existing Maintenance By The Hour (MBH) platform, based on IFS Cloud, with SAP S/4HANA.
• Implementation of a new aviation application platform to support Component MRO and MBH operations, including integration with SAP S/4HANA.

The successful candidate will provide overall project leadership, oversee solution design and delivery activities, manage implementation partners and vendors, and ensure successful deployment and adoption of the new systems.

The role offers a pathway to assume broader IT leadership responsibilities and potentially lead the company's IT function following successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

• Lead the successful planning and execution of both projects from implementation through go-live and stabilization.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, risks, issues, and stakeholder communications.
• Establish effective project governance, reporting, and decision-making processes.
• Coordinate business stakeholders, software vendors, implementation partners, and internal IT resources.

New Application Platform Solution Governance

• Work closely with application service provider and implementation partners during solution design and blueprinting activities.
• Review and challenge proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements and industry best practices and ensure an optimal operating model for CRO, MBH, inventory, procurement, and finance processes
• Assess customization requests and promote standardization where practical.
• Ensure solution decisions support long-term scalability, maintainability, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee process design covering Component Repair Operations (CRO), Maintenance By The Hour (MBH), inventory management, procurement, repair management, and customer service processes.

Integration Oversight

• Govern integration delivery between New Application Platform, IFS Cloud, and SAP S/4HANA.
• Ensure robust process and data flows across procurement, inventory, finance, sales, asset management, and master data domains.
• Manage integration testing and cross-system issue resolution.

Vendor & Contract Management

• Manage software vendors and implementation partners against agreed scope, milestones, and contractual obligations.
• Review deliverables and ensure quality standards are achieved.
• Manage change requests, project risks, and commercial impacts.
• Support contract administration, acceptance sign-offs, and warranty management.

Testing, Deployment & Support Readiness

• Lead data migration, SIT, UAT, cutover planning, and go-live activities.
• Ensure business readiness, training, and change management activities are completed.
• Establish support processes, service levels, and transition into steady-state operations.
• Drive post-implementation stabilization and continuous improvement initiatives.

Future IT Leadership

• Support development of the company's IT governance, operating model, and technology roadmap.
• Build strong relationships across business and technology stakeholders.
• Develop internal IT capabilities and team structure.
• Demonstrate leadership capability to assume broader IT management responsibilities.

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing ERP, enterprise application, or digital transformation projects.
• Proven experience leading large-scale software implementation and integration projects
• Strong contract and SOW governance skills.
• Strong experience managing software vendors, system integrators, and consulting partners.
• Experience managing ERP vendors during blueprinting and solution design phases.
• Experience with project budgeting, contract management, risk management, and governance.
• Ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders effectively.

Preferred

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC6 implementation and integration
• Experience with IFS Cloud, AMOS, or similar enterprise platforms.
• Experience within aviation MRO, aerospace, engineering, manufacturing, or asset-intensive industries.
• Understanding of Component Repair Operations (CRO), inventory management, asset management, and Maintenance By The Hour (MBH) business models.
• PMP, PRINCE2, SAP Activate, ITIL, or equivalent certification.
• People leadership capability to eventually lead the IT department.

Ideal Candidate

A commercially minded technology leader who combines strong project delivery skills with the ability to challenge and guide solution design. The successful candidate will have experience managing ERP implementations, enterprise system integrations, and software vendors, while ensuring technology solutions deliver practical business outcomes.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA and aviation MRO systems will be highly advantageous. The individual should also demonstrate the potential to grow into a future IT Manager or Head of IT role.
