Senior Java Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer , you will join our Kraków-based team to work on evergreening legacy Java applications and supporting production systems. You will build modern Java microservices , improve observability and reliability, and use AI-driven tools like GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery while maintaining high standards of code quality and security.

Daily tasks

• Proactively engage in service management activities (Incident, Problem, and Service Delivery)
• Modernize and maintain legacy systems using AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code)
• Collaborate with Product Owners, IT specialists, and Architects to design scalable solutions
• Analyse technical and non-technical requirements; provide service-oriented recommendations
• Design and build robust, secure microservices using modern Agile methods and DevOps principles
• Develop observability tools for monitoring, alerting, incident detection, and performance optimization
• Drive CI/CD automation and ensure release readiness across environments

Requirements

5+ years of experience in developing and supporting distributed systems in Java

Ability to build applications and microservices using Java 17 and Spring Boot

Strong knowledge of modern Java frameworks and patterns (Spring Cloud)

Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices

Proficient in app lifecycle management tools: JIRA, Confluence, Ansible, Jenkins

Excellent analytical and communication skills; ability to work across global teams

Structured, independent work approach with high attention to detail

Technology stack: Java SE, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Angular, GCP, Redis, REST APIs, Ansible, Jenkins

Nice to Have

Knowledge of vulnerability remediation practices

Experience in optimizing applications for observability and resiliency

Hands-on exposure to AI-enabled SDLC practices
