Daily tasks

• Build and maintain cloud-native platform services supporting the IDAM 2.0 programme.
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters and supporting components.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated deployments.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.
• Manage cloud networking, security, and connectivity.
• Configure service mesh and secure service-to-service communication.
• Ensure observability: logging, monitoring, metrics, and tracing.
• Secure secrets management and automate certificate lifecycle.
• Support high availability, disaster recovery, and compliance requirements.
• Drive cost optimisation, performance tuning, and SRE best practices.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

Cloud Platform Engineering (GCP)

Strong Kubernetes administration skills

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)

CI/CD and GitOps automation expertise

Linux & Networking fundamentals

Service Mesh (Istio/Envoy), PKI & secrets management

Observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing)

DevSecOps mindset and Scripting/Automation skills

Global deployment experience in large-scale environments

Self-driven, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach
