Your tasks
- Conduct engaging and structured Secondary 3 Chemistry lessons aligned with the Singapore MOE syllabus.
- Explain Chemistry concepts clearly and guide students in applying concepts to structured, calculation and application-based questions.
- Prepare students for WAs, EOY and GCE O-Level Chemistry, with emphasis on building strong foundations from Secondary 3.
- Identify students’ learning gaps and provide targeted explanations, practices and corrections.
- Prepare and use lesson materials, worksheets and revision resources to support students’ learning.
- Mark assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback to help students improve.
- Monitor students’ academic progress and maintain appropriate records of their performance.
- Develop students’ confidence in Chemistry, scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching team to maintain consistent teaching standards and quality.
Requirements
- Strong academic background in Chemistry.
- Familiar with the Singapore Secondary 3 & 4 Chemistry syllabus and examination requirements.
- Prior experience teaching or tutoring Secondary Chemistry is preferred.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Able to explain Chemistry concepts clearly and patiently.
- Good classroom management and communication skills.
- Responsible, punctual and committed to students’ learning progress.
- Passionate about teaching and supporting students in achieving their academic goals.
- NIE-trained teacher or relevant teaching qualification.
- A-Levels
- Experience preparing students for Singapore-Cambridge GCE O-Level Chemistry.
