Textile & Fashion Graphic Designer

Mind Matter, a women's clothing company, is looking for a Textile & Fashion Graphic Designer with experience in the design of prints and embroidery for women's garments.

We are looking for a creative yet technically proficient partner, who will be able to take charge of the development of a design from the initial concept to the final preparation of files for production in factories abroad.

Main Responsibilities

• Design of all-over prints / seamless repeat patterns for fabrics and garments.
• Creation of placement prints, with proper adjustment and positioning of the artwork on each respective garment.
• Design and development of embroidery artworks for different categories of garments.
• Creation of embroidery placements and determination of the position, proportions, and actual dimensions of the embroidery according to the design and the dimensions of the garment.
• Adaptation of prints and embroidery to different parts of the garment, such as neckline, sleeves, cuffs, sides, waist, hem, etc.
• Creation of placement maps / front & back layouts that clearly depict the position of each print or embroidery.
• Preparation of production-ready artwork files and technical specifications for sending to suppliers and factories abroad.
• Creation of complete technical artwork sheets / technical files, with dimensions, placements, color references, and all necessary instructions for the correct execution of the design.
• Adaptation and correction of artworks after strike-offs / samples and communication of necessary changes to production.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in Textile Design, Fashion Print Design, or a related field.
• Very good knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop.
• Experience in creating seamless / repeat patterns and all-over prints.
• Experience in placement prints and adapting artwork onto clothing.
• Knowledge of the design and technical preparation of embroidery artworks.
• Ability to determine correct dimensions, proportions, and placements based on each garment.
• Ability to create organized and understandable technical files for production factories.
• Very good aesthetic perception, attention to detail, and understanding of modern fashion trends.
• Good knowledge of English, especially at the level of written communication and technical terminology.

Will be particularly appreciated

• Experience in a women's clothing company or textile/fashion studio and previous collaboration with factories or suppliers abroad.
