ELECTRICAL AND SYSTEMS DESIGNER
We are looking for an experienced electrical and systems designer to strengthen our integration products and services product development team. Our integration projects include the manufacturing, testing, and installation of various devices as part of a system platform. System platforms are typically containers or vehicles.
In this role, you will design and develop electrical system components and assemblies related to container, equipment room, and vehicle outfitting. Outfitting includes various communication and command systems as well as their auxiliary systems. The scope of design includes outfitting, maintenance, and modifications of different systems. Additionally, your tasks include the management of electrical works.
You will work daily in close cooperation with, among others, experts in product development, procurement, manufacturing, project management, and sales, so we expect good teamwork skills from you. Additionally, your tasks include directing subcontracting design together with the chief designer. You will also work in a customer-facing role in an international environment, so we expect fluent English skills (other language skills are considered an advantage) and experience working in such an environment is a plus. As a person, you are determined, persistent, and goal-oriented.
WOULD YOU BE THE EXPERT WE ARE LOOKING FOR?
We expect strong technical expertise from you:
- Several years of experience in electrical design and product development, preferably with demanding equipment
- Strong expertise in electrical system design software and the ability to produce manufacturing-ready structures
- Good understanding of electrical system dimensioning
- In-depth understanding of electrical safety regulations and related standards
- Good understanding of requirements, configuration, and risk management
- Ability to act independently and take technical responsibility for entire systems
- A systematic and documentation-committed work attitude
We expect a suitable university degree in the field of technology. Success in the role is supported by good knowledge of the defense industry and the defense sector in general. In particular, knowledge of communication and command systems and their system platforms, as well as knowledge of container systems, will be useful in the role. We consider basic knowledge of MIL-standards, experience with EMC and TEMPEST requirements, and knowledge of automated testing of electrical systems as an advantage.
