Responsible for managing daily import and export operations for both air and ocean freight shipments, including FCL and LCL cargo.
Plan, coordinate, and organize day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficient shipment execution.
Work closely with customers, shipping lines, airlines, co-loaders, overseas agents, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely cargo movement.
Coordinate and arrange cross-trade shipments, including communication with overseas offices, agents, and customers.
Handle transshipment cargo arrangements and monitor shipment progress until final delivery.
Prepare and process shipping documentation, including Air Waybills (AWB), Bills of Lading (B/L), Sea Waybills (SWB), Switch Bills of Lading, and other import/export-related documents.
Familiar with Certificate of Origin (COO) applications, import/export permit declarations, customs requirements, and trade compliance procedures.
Manage export consolidation planning and cargo allocation to optimize shipment efficiency.
Liaise with carriers and vendors for booking arrangements, schedule coordination, and operational requirements.
Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve operational issues or discrepancies to minimize delays.
Verify operational costs, process billing, and ensure accurate cost and revenue updates in the system.
Ensure all shipment events, milestones, and operational data are accurately and timely updated in the company system.
Communicate operational discrepancies, service issues, or exceptions to the manager when necessary and provide appropriate solutions.
Support customers with shipping documentation requirements, including Letter of Credit (L/C) shipment documentation and related compliance requirements.
Possess knowledge of Bills of Lading, Sea Waybills, Switch B/L arrangements, and cross-trade shipment procedures.
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, customer requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Department Manager.
Requirements
Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, air and ocean import/export operations.
Familiarity with cross-trade shipments, transshipment arrangements, and consolidation cargo.
Experience in COO applications, import/export permit declarations, customs documentation, and trade compliance.
Knowledge of L/C shipment documentation, SWB, Original B/L, and Switch B/L arrangements.
Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
