Training Instructor (Health IT)

About the Position: Serves as a Health Information Technology Training Instructor (HIT) for the Informatics/Information Management/Information Technology (IM/IT) Leadership within the Medical Treatment Facility aligned to a Network. This position is located in Ft. Stewart, GA at WINN Army Medical Center. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Major duties

• Conduct instructor-led training, webinars, and blended learning sessions.
• Manage classroom dynamics, resolve disruptions, and maintain order during sessions.
• Develop detailed lesson plans, instructional aids, and course materials in alignment with standardized training requirements.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to verify technical accuracy of material.
• Participate in pre-course briefings and instructional alignment sessions.
• Participate in curriculum review boards and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Advise students on training expectations and academic standing.

Basic Requirements for Training Instructor (Health IT): Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes conducting instructor-led training sessions; developing or revising training course content; and analyzing student performance data. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Training Development or adult education. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.)
