Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist
About the Position: The position is located at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Jacksonville, Florida, with office space in the administrative area of Warehouse Building 2091. The work environment includes oversight and management of daily warehouse, contracting, purchasing, and life-cycle logistics operations. Hours of work are 0730 to 1530. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) &Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD
Major duties
- Serves as the Assistant Department Head of Logistics, responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and supervising the activities of employees, in support of the local medical treatment facility and Health Clinics
- Manages every aspect of the budget requirements to resource and sustain departmental supply operations, supply accounts ,and medical maintenance equipment repair accounts.
- Serves as the senior functional authority and principal administrator for enterprise logistics information systems.
- Exercises comprehensive oversight of financial management.
- Directs complex acquisition and procurement operations.
- Directs departmental audit readiness initiatives.
- Functions as the Chief of Logistics’ principal technical advisor regarding logistics management, acquisition strategy, financial execution, and enterprise risk management.
- As Assistant Department Head of Logistics, the incumbent assigns, directs, and evaluates the work of subordinate organizational elements.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Managing budget preparation for medical materiel AND 2) Coordinating procurement actions of new equipment for medical facilities; AND 3) Creating policies for guiding medical logistics; AND 4) Implementing procedures to support medical logistics operations.
