About the Position: Acquires a variety of specialized supplies, equipment, services, or commercial requirements for a military treatment facility. Performs contract follow-up administrative duties. Provides data system support and office automation support to prepare and process procurement actions. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Major duties

  • Execute purchase requests for specialized medical /non-medical supplies and equipment.
  • Maintain all records concerning the monitoring and/or management of the contracts.
  • Review to correct any deficiencies found in contracting files.
  • Review purchase logs daily to follow-up with vendors regarding outstanding orders.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Assisting with performing technical and administrative support by updating, maintaining, and verifying contracting documents; (2) Assisting with inputting data to an automated procurement database to compile and extract data for statistical reports; (3) Assisting with/Communicating with customers/contractors to discuss and attempt to resolve contract terms.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business, Acquisition, Contract Management, Supply Chain and Healthcare Administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
