The opportunity:

What we are looking for:

We are seeking an analytical, detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support financial planning, reporting, and operational analysis across our virtual healthcare platform.

What this person will be doing:

Reporting to the Director, Finance, this person will assist in maintaining financial models, preparing monthly variance reports, tracking key operational metrics, and supporting cross-functional teams with data-driven insights.

This person’s responsibility:

We are looking for an eager, early-career Financial Analyst to support the FP&A function at Midi Health. Working closely with corporate finance and clinical operations, this person will maintain forecasting templates, analyze budget-to-actual variances, and help translate raw operational data into actionable reports. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for data integrity across reporting tools and helping teams monitor spend and performance as Midi continues to scale.

Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining and updating monthly financial models, rolling forecasts, and annual budget templates.

Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes by performing budget-vs-actual variance analyses and surfacing key operational trends.

Prepare and distribute routine financial reporting packages and operational dashboards for leadership and department heads.

Partner with Accounting on expense tracking and with HR to track headcount updates against budget.

Gather and clean data to support strategic analyses, including provider capacity planning, clinical visit volume trends, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Assist in testing, implementing, and maintaining FP&A software and Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools.

Help ensure data integrity and confidentiality across all financial systems and reporting outputs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Economics, or equivalent experience.

1+ years of relevant experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting (strong internship experience included).

Core proficiency in Microsoft Excel (familiarity with formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic financial modeling).

Foundational understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) and basic accounting concepts.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize financial data clearly.

Strong organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) or modern FP&A software.

Experience with SQL for data querying and analysis.

Prior internship or working experience within a healthcare, healthtech, or venture-backed startup environment.

What we offer: Compensation for this role is $70,000 - $90,000 annually, dependent on experience, location and other variable factors. We offer equity, benefits (health, dental, vision), flexible vacation & paid time off, paid holidays, and a work-from-home stipend.
